The SASC are frequent visitors to Kangaroo Island, and since 2020 have been working on a grant funded project to discover, document and survey caves and karst in the region. While much of this work has focused on the well know Kelly Hill Caves Conservation Park, other areas of the island are also included in this work.

As part of this grant work, Professor David Gillieson produced an the publication A Guide to the Geological Heritage of Kangaroo Island. This publication is available in both English and German via the links below.
